Freight Delivery Specialist

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Freight Delivery Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers while ensuring exceptional service and meeting scheduled delivery times.

About the Role:

• Safely operate trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times.
• Carefully unload products from the trailer using equipment such as two-wheelers, pallet jacks, or by hand, and place in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
• Provide professional customer service to enhance our client experience.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.

What You Need to Succeed:

• A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• At least six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months of commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift.
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops required.
• Ability to read and communicate in the English language.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is between $28.40 per hour and $32.40 per hour, with opportunities for overtime compensation and retention bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, paid time off, and a strong safety culture.
