Bakery Department Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Department Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team at Lowes Foods.
Job SummaryThe Bakery Department Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our bakery department operates efficiently and effectively, providing high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Main Responsibilities- Guest Service: Ensure that guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff, promoting a positive customer experience.
- Sales and Profitability: Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the bakery department, implementing strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
- Inventory Management: Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of products sold meets Lowes Foods standards, conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to Lowes Foods sanitation and safety standards.
- Training and Development: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary, maintain labor budgets and scheduling standards, and perform PA announcements.
- Qualifications: Friendly, outgoing personality, ability to work well with others, ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, ability to read and understand information and direction, knowledge of bakery operations, ability to supervise people including training and development, demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, effective communication, guest service, and selling skills, must be at least 18 years old, ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods, ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser, and ability to work well with computers.
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
