Exercise Physiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at Ascension Seton. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in implementing and supervising physical exercise programs for patients, providing patient testing and assessment, and planning and teaching exercise therapy.

• Implement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients, ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation experience.
• Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation, using data to inform exercise plans.
• Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients, utilizing test data, patient status, and current medication regimen.
• Monitor patient responses and revise plans accordingly, recognizing contraindications and abnormal responses to exercise.
• Provide exercise information to patients, peers, and the community, including public speaking and education classes.
• Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly.
• Prepare, develop, and maintain various files, records, and reports, as well as schedule patient appointments as required.
• Provide oversight to department activities in the absence of the manager.

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
• Exercise Physiologist specializing in Strength & Conditioning credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in cardiac rehab (or related field) or completion of a cardiac rehab internship preferred.
