Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Educator to join our team at Houston Community College. As an Anesthesia educator, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction and guidance to students in the field of anesthesia technology.

About the Job

This is a part-time position that requires a minimum of 9.75 contact hours per week. You will teach courses at various times, locations, and modalities, and be responsible for maintaining accurate student records and submitting related reports within requested timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in anesthesia technology, including classroom and laboratory instruction
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Provide academic advising and support to students
  • Develop and maintain an LMS (Learning Management System) shell for each assigned course
  • Participate in department-required annual evaluation process
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An associate degree required; bachelor's degree or higher preferred
  • Current anesthesia experience (minimum 3 years)
  • College-level teaching experience (1 year or more preferred)
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
