Job Title: Information Systems Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer to join our team at Leidos. As an ISSO, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security posture of our information systems and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining the operational security posture of our systems, programs, and organizations.
  • Conduct ISSO responsibilities, including approval of change requests, review of audit logs, review of system accounts, and analysis of vulnerability scans.
  • Maintain operational security posture for information systems or programs to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
  • Assist with the management of security aspects of information systems and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information security, information systems, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Current DoD compliant certification for IAM Level I or higher.
  • Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) cybersecurity requirements and guidance.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining SSPs or security-related documentation.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing regulatory environment with short-, mid-, and long-term timelines for remediating any non-compliance.
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment and adapt quickly to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active current Top Secret clearance with SCI w/poly.
  • Experience conducting security audits of information systems.
  • Cyber and/or IT certification, such as Security + CE.
  • Vulnerability assessment and analysis experience utilizing SCAP, NESSUS, and DISA STIGs.
  • Experience with DoD implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and governing directives (NIST, CNSS, DSS, etc.).
