Position Overview:

As a Radiology Technologist within our Imaging department, you will engage in various modalities including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Specials, Nuclear Medicine, PACS, and Mammography to perform precise diagnostic evaluations and potential interventional tasks independently. Your role will encompass a range of technical operations, exercising independent judgment and supervising designated areas or procedures as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill the expectations of the relevant OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Exhibit proficiency in diverse diagnostic procedures across multiple imaging modalities.
  • Post-procedure, ensure accurate programming of the system to finalize examinations and securely store scan data.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize daily procedures to uphold exceptional patient care and continuity.
  • Guarantee precise coding and entry of charges into the billing system.
  • Demonstrate expertise in working with all age demographics to ensure comprehensive study completion.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and standards established by regulatory bodies, both State and Federal, as well as the institution.
  • Conduct all duties in a manner that maintains patient confidentiality and prevents the disclosure of sensitive information.
  • Exhibit commitment to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health.
  • Execute any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
  • Possess ARRT, RT (R), or other relevant Registries as per scope of practice.
  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Highly preferred to have 3 years of experience in a clinical Imaging context.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
  • Current state licensure is essential.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification is mandatory.
