Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering field, with at least 24 semester hours of college-level chemistry. A background in management within an analytical laboratory environment is essential. Candidates must also have experience in hazardous waste management, including disposal and brokering, as well as knowledge in volatile and metals analysis. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the safe and efficient daily operations of the laboratory.
  • Manage all laboratory staff, data, and quality assurance processes.
  • Implement waste analysis plans and ensure compliance with RCRA regulations related to testing and analysis.
  • Conduct routine laboratory functions as assigned.
  • Facilitate the receipt of materials for treatment and disposal in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Apply appropriate methodologies for waste treatment and disposal specific to the facility.
  • Supervise personnel needs, including recruitment, coaching, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization within the laboratory and storage areas.
  • Provide training and presentations in a professional manner.

Supervisory Role
This position requires direct supervision of approximately 5-12 full-time employees. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Chemistry, or alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) with four years of relevant work experience.

Experience Requirements
A minimum of seven years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the educational qualifications.
