Bulk Delivery Driver Job Description

Buffalo Rock is seeking a skilled Bulk Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our Retail Sales team, you will be responsible for delivering products to assigned accounts in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of the tractor and trailer.
  • Make all scheduled deliveries within the account's delivery window and deliver all accounts in accordance with Buffalo Rock Policy and Procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships and honor and follow through on all personal and business commitments.
  • Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures and communicate any pricing/product discrepancies encountered during daily deliveries through the appropriate divisional channels.
  • Properly complete and turn in all Invoices, DSD's, required account signatures, and required store stamps to Company/account Policies.
  • Communicate daily with Supervisor on any product shortages, product returns, refused orders, changes to next delivery order, account information changes, or any operational items.
  • Remove all damaged product on each account visit as dispatched following Company policy and procedure.
  • Ensure pallets, trays are picked up on each visit, and documented by proper paperwork.
  • Assist management in reporting competitive activity, achieving sales goals and metrics, and promoting Buffalo Rock Purpose and Core Values.
  • Follow all Company Policy and Procedures as they relate to truck check-out, truck check-in, and all settlement processes.
  • Required to work weekends and non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings requiring your presence and / or participation.
  • Responsible for sanitization, cleanliness, and the overall appearance of account/machines, stockroom and vehicle.
  • Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, which may include but is not limited to business conduct policies, business ethics policies, legal policies, and delivery and merchandising policies.
  • Responsible for the collection of monies.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Preferred
  • No prior experience necessary
  • Must have a valid state driver license, for state of residence, with a good driving record
  • Must have a valid state Class A Commercial Driver License
  • Must be D.O.T Certifiable
Work Environment:

This position is subject to working conditions related to the individual unique working conditions at each account. Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold, working in rain or snow, all for extended periods.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to lift/carry, stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, grasp, reach outward, reach above shoulder, speak, climb, crawl, squat or kneel, bend, and push/pull. The employee must be able to lift 10 lbs. or less, 11-20 lbs., 21-50 lbs., 51-100 lbs., and over 100 lbs. as required.
