Seasonal CVICU Registered Nurse Position

Job SummaryThis is a seasonal opportunity for a Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our CVICU team. As a seasoned nurse, you will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing care plans, and implementing and evaluating care.
Responsibilities- Perform and document patient assessments at the time of admission
- Create a plan of care, including discharge plans, and revise plans based on patient response to treatment
- Document outcomes of nursing interventions and patient responses
- Provide educational materials to patients and families on care and treatments
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy
- Perform venipuncture, administer and maintain IV fluids and IV medications
- Review new physician orders, ensure orders are carried out and documented correctly, and notify other departments of orders and services
- Notify the Charge Nurse and/or physician of changes in patient status
- Provide accurate and relevant patient information reports to the Charge Nurse and to the on-coming shift to ensure continuity of care
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting
- Recent critical care experience – preferred
