Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the creation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive a free and appropriate public education.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular evaluations and state-required assessments.
- Maintain accurate records, including IEPs and student reports, to support educational accountability.
- Design and implement lesson plans that align with IEP goals and provide access to the general curriculum.
- Manage classroom behavior and contribute to the development of behavior intervention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Supervise classroom aides and support staff to ensure student goals are met.
- Utilize technology for data collection, communication, and reporting purposes.
- Employ research-based strategies to facilitate student learning and progress.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $52-$58
- Weekly Earnings: $2,080 to $2,320 based on a 40-hour workweek
- Annual Salary: $74,880 to $83,520 for the academic year
