Key Responsibilities

  1. Foster a culture of safety by exemplifying best practices, supporting training initiatives, and clearly communicating safety expectations.
  2. Exhibit exemplary customer service by addressing the needs of all stakeholders encountered in daily operations.
  3. Actively participate as a team member, ensuring that safety protocols are understood and implemented by the crew.
  4. Prepare and submit crew observation reports to the Area Supervisor and Safety teams.
  5. Conduct monthly skills assessments to identify and address skill gaps within the crew.
  6. Serve as a resource for crew members, providing guidance and one-on-one training to bridge skill gaps.
  7. Investigate incidents resulting in injuries or service disruptions, compiling summaries for the Area Supervisor and Safety team.
  8. Administer on-site drug testing as required, following established protocols.
  9. Complete necessary training in Temporary Traffic Control (Flagging) and CPR/First Aid to maintain a qualified workforce.
  10. Engage in annual safety training sessions, contributing by presenting topics or assisting safety personnel.
  11. Adhere to all performance initiatives and fulfill additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • ISA certification or relevant industry knowledge is advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as email and internet applications.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and operational methods within the tree industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; adept at troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Capability to ensure directives are understood and executed.
  • Adaptability to manage change effectively.
  • Demonstrated drive for personal achievement and problem resolution.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include:
  • Frequent light lifting (up to 25 lbs.) and occasional heavy lifting (over 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to hear and see, with accommodations permitted.
  • Clear verbal communication and written message capabilities.
  • Occasional kneeling or bending.
  • Travel across various locations may be necessary.
