POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role of the Echocardiographer (Echo Tech) is to conduct diagnostic echocardiographic ultrasound imaging procedures. This position is responsible for obtaining sonographic images and measurements for various patient demographics, including adults, children, and newborns. The echocardiographer works autonomously and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to execute ultrasonography procedures, ensuring the presentation of images and relevant patient data for accurate interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver age-appropriate care across all patient categories, from neonates to geriatric patients.
  • Adhere to patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures as outlined by LifeBridge Health.
  • Fulfill responsibilities effectively as a contributing member of the healthcare team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possession of formal education equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) with specialized knowledge.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification is required.
