Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at adidas. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and driving sales growth in our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and making recommendations to drive sales growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales floor team to achieve sales targets, maintain a high level of product knowledge, and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized store environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and housekeeping activities to create an appealing and easy-to-shop environment for customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to cash protection procedures.
  • Utilize selling expertise to maximize opportunities at the cash desk, creating add-on sales and building customer loyalty.
  • Handle returns, refunds, and exchanges in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Assist with deliveries and replenishing the sales floor, ensuring adequate supplies and maintaining a well-stocked store environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to six months of experience working in a retail environment preferred.
  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Typical store environment, with moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and operate a Brannock device.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
