Job Title: CT Technologist

ChristianaCare is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Newark, Delaware.

About the Role:

The primary function of this role is to perform all phases of CT scan testing, working with hospital in-patients and outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department and under the direction of the Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging exams as skills permit
  • Complete technical and non-technical procedures in designated scheduled times
  • Verify insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patients
  • Assist in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety
  • Administer contrast media under physician's supervision
  • Assess patients for adverse reactions and/or changes in patient status
  • Perform i-STAT testing and accurate calculation of GFR following established departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development
Requirements:
  • Completion of ARRT registry in CT Scan required
  • Licensed by State of Delaware on Radiation Protection
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • Completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement
