We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice-Chair of Clinical Operations to join our team at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. As a key member of our Department of Pathology, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality care, and elevating the department's level of excellence nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:- Standardize clinical practice and program implementation to ensure high-quality care.
- Oversight of clinical operations for Digital Pathology and Clinical Informatics, including BEAKER.
- Develop and oversee new and existing clinical and laboratory programs.
- Lead clinical faculty recruitment and onboarding, and play a role in staff recruitment.
- Mentor and support less experienced physicians and leaders in the department.
- Oversee the Divisional physician clinical schedule and work with the clinical operations team to make improvements.
- Monitor and be involved in compliance of metrics, including quality, seminal events, and TAT.
- Oversee clinical outreach activities and schedules.
- Maintain professional affiliations and enhance professional growth and development.
- Work with the Chair, Department Administrator, and Finance Manager to actively participate in budget efforts.
- Successful completion of a Pathology Resident.
- Board Certified in Pathology.
- Qualify for an academic appointment at the associate or full professor level.
