Your impact

As a Strategic Partnership Developer, you will ensure the health, happiness, and success of your education partners at Handshake. You will create repeatable tactics for driving engagement across teams, channeling the voice of the customer to rally the necessary people and highlight success.

You will report to the Manager of Education Success, working closely with customer support, sales, and marketing to deliver a world-class customer experience and drive business growth through renewals and expansions.

Your role

Product Expertise
  • Provide daily product knowledge and answer questions regarding the Handshake platform
  • Identify, diagnose, and help customers resolve data health issues
  • Deepen product adoption and usage amongst your career center partners
  • Gather and document best practices on leveraging the platform to drive student engagement
  • Learn and understand the higher education and career services space (operations, structure, and metrics)
  • Consult with education partners on their workflows to adapt processes to the Handshake product and achieve student success
  • Respond to inquiries requiring technical product knowledge combined with strategic understanding
Relationship Building
  • Owning core/executive relationships and ultimate success with a defined segment of education partners
  • Cultivating meaningful, trusting relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Navigating complex relationships to build trust at scale
  • Implementing recurring and on-demand touchpoints with customers
Partner Success and Retention
  • Ensuring successful implementation for new partners in your book of business
  • Driving high renewal rates, managing contracts, and security requests
  • Implementing scalable solutions to support a large book of business
  • Tracking subjective health assessments and data-driven account health scores
  • Leveraging data to proactively identify at-risk accounts and implement action plans
  • Collaborating across Handshake to meet customer needs efficiently
  • Providing project management for internal and external initiatives
  • Executing implementation calls and training webinars with education partners
Operations and Marketing Support
  • Helping develop, document, and peer-train internal processes for users
  • Assisting with content creation for marketing collateral to education partners
  • Developing targeted programming for education partners

With 2+ years of Customer Success experience, you will possess proven SaaS experience, ability to learn tech stacks quickly, and experience working with a large book of business. You will be highly articulate, polished, and professional in communication. We estimate a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on location and experience.
