Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN/Medical Assistant/EMT to join our team at HealthPartners. This part-time position will be based out of our Woodbury clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Identify common and recurring nursing needs of patients and provide appropriate care.
  • Recognize the need for and perform routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting.
  • Assist patients in achieving basic health care goals and document observations, actions, and patient outcomes.
  • Provide safe, accurate, and clinically competent direct care to patients and families.
  • Recognize patient abnormalities or urgent problems and seek appropriate assistance.
  • Obtain health history information and accurately document procedures and treatment in each patient's record.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team and provide patients and families with current and accurate information regarding procedures and care.
  • Perform telephone screening under the direction of an RN or MD and provide support to professional and technical staff.
  • Solve problems appropriately and seek assistance from members of the healthcare team when needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
  • One year of working experience as an LPN is preferred.
  • For the Medical Assistant position, a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a graduate of an accredited EMT program with current EMT licensure is required.
Working Conditions

The Medical Assistant and LPN position requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Proficiency in English is required, and proficiency in other languages may be required.
