We are seeking a skilled Freight Broker to join our team at TG Mercer Consulting Serv Inc in Spring, TX. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of freight brokerage experience and a proven track record of growing and managing a gross profit book of business.

About the Role

The Freight Broker will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement. This includes negotiating rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing, as well as coordinating logistics operations and resolving any issues that arise during transit.

As a key member of our team, you will utilize our TMS software to manage shipments, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records. You will also provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly, and work with our sales teams to identify new business opportunities within logistics sales, transportation sales, and 3PL services.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with carriers, as well as excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including tracking shipments and resolving any issues that arise during transit.
  • Utilize our TMS software to manage shipments, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
