Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Thrive Communities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our communities, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment and tools as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
- Inspect and coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
- Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Requirements:
- Prior maintenance experience in property management is strongly preferred, but not required.
- Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong team player.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects.
- Weekends and listed schedule days are required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
- Supplies their own tools.
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day.
- Estimated 66% - 100% of time is spent on feet.
- Occasional need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder.
- Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs - 75lbs and be on your feet a majority of the day.
