We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Medical Oncology Unit 14P team. This part-time position requires working nights and alternating weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and support Professional Registered Nurses in direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Perform various tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring intake and output, and applying cardiac monitors.
- Collect and process specimens, and assist with pre-and post-operative care.
- Provide morning care, bed baths, and evening care to patients, as well as newborn care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Assist with procedures in the normal newborn nursery and transport patients, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Respond to emergency situations and initiate basic life support.
- Document observations and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
