Job Summary: The Division of Rehabilitation Medicine within the Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with a focus on neurorehabilitation to join our faculty. This physician will see patients at UW Health outpatient clinic locations and inpatient consult locations with a focus on stroke, TBI, SCI, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, spasticity management, and prosthetics management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient clinical care at UW Health outpatient clinic locations
  • Provide inpatient rehabilitation consultations at UW Health and UPH-Meriter locations
  • Rotational coverage of inpatient care at UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Teach a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows within the context of the clinical practice

Requirements: We are seeking candidates with a track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions as demonstrated either through practice experience or training. An appointment to either the Clinician Teacher (CT) track or CHS track will include clinical teaching of various trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows. Opportunity for participation in clinical research for interested candidates exists.

About the Division: The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UW-Madison is comprised of 14 faculty, 5 advanced practice providers, 10 residents, and 2 fellows within the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, which includes 61 faculty and 49 advanced practice providers in eight subspecialty divisions, 7 fellows across five programs, and 40 residents between two residency programs. The division enjoys strong collaborative relationships with faculty within the Department of Pediatrics Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
