About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our team at Doyon Utilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks related to our water distribution system, wastewater collection system, and heat distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct water system preventive maintenance activities, including routine checks and repairs.
  • Perform annual sewer jetting and camera surveillance to ensure the efficient operation of our systems.
  • Assist in confined space attendant duties, ensuring the safety of employees working within our utilidor system.
  • Undertake minor building maintenance and housekeeping tasks, including lawn mowing and brush cutting.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • You should have basic maintenance skills, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts.
  • You must be willing to receive training on confined space procedures, which will enable you to perform entry attendant duties for employees working within the utilidor system.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Working Conditions
  • This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • You may occasionally work in extreme cold, heat, humidity, wet conditions, noise, hazards, temperature changes, atmospheric conditions, and vibrations.
