Job Summary:The Director of Mergers and Acquisitions will lead our M&A strategy, overseeing end-to-end transaction processes and driving growth through acquisitions of music companies, record labels, music technology, and other strategic investments.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee all aspects of the M&A lifecycle, including target identification, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning and execution.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify acquisition opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals and growth objectives.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition targets, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and close deals.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams to assess financial, operational, legal, and strategic risks and opportunities associated with potential acquisitions.
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive integration plans that maximize value, achieve synergies, and ensure smooth transitions.
- Prepare and present deal rationales, financial analyses, and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, target companies, investment banks, private equity firms, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members and contribute to the growth and development of the M&A team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, preferably within the music, media, or entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions, including managing due diligence, financial modeling, and deal negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial data and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of the music industry, including trends, key players, and regulatory landscape, is highly desirable.
$100,000 - $200,000 annually
