Arts Council - Receptionist for Arts Venue
POSITION SUMMARY: The Arts Council is seeking multiple part-time Receptionists to join our team on an as-needed basis.
Company Overview: The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County is dedicated to supporting, coordinating, and advocating for the arts and culture within our community. We manage public arts facilities, providing essential support and services to our cultural partners and the broader community.
Position Type: Part-time; hourly; non-exempt; reports to the Event and Venue Manager. Hourly Compensation: $11.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all individuals entering the facility have legitimate reasons for their visit.
- Conduct regular monitoring of the building and parking area.
- Assist patrons by directing them to appropriate locations and providing requested information.
- Oversee surveillance operations.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and manage opening and closing reports.
- Perform occasional housekeeping and setup/teardown tasks.
- Supervise the opening procedures of the facility.
- Manage the closing procedures, ensuring all security measures are in place.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience demonstrating the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to enforce facility guidelines professionally.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.
