Position Summary
This role involves managing the processing of outgoing shipments for gaskets and bolts, which includes selecting and packaging orders. The position requires the operation of various equipment such as forklifts and gasket manufacturing tools. Additionally, the role entails receiving incoming stock and organizing it in specified locations while maintaining a clean workspace. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispatch gaskets as per customer requests.
  • Select and package orders for shipment.
  • Handle inbound transfers and manage freight deliveries.
  • Organize stock in designated areas and keep track of daily inventory.
  • Complete daily tasks related to gaskets and stud bolts as required by clients.
  • Assemble shipping boxes and monitor staged shipments.
  • Load outgoing freight onto trucks.
  • Maintain organization in the Will Call area.
  • Participate in cross-training for all warehouse functions.
  • Monitor propane tank levels and coordinate refills with the supervisor.
  • Verify order details against pick tickets before packaging.
  • Palletize larger orders effectively.
  • Notify sales of any discrepancies in online items.
  • Ensure accurate labeling of each line item and its corresponding box.
  • Keep the work environment tidy by managing packing materials.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessary to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse and shipping operations preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Capability to lift, climb, bend, and push/pull.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 50 lbs, with a maximum of 50 lbs independently.
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including cold, hot, and dusty settings, as well as noisy environments.
