Temp Custodian

We are seeking a Temporary Custodian to provide a safe and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors, and staff at the University of Iowa Health Care. This temporary position offers flexible scheduling and may lead to a full-time opportunity.

A Custodian 1 is responsible for general cleaning duties, trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions.

• General cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and damp mopping floors
• Trash removal and recycling
• Disinfecting surfaces and restrooms
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

• Ability to read, write, and follow directions
• Previous cleaning experience preferred
• Experience working in a healthcare setting and with the public an asset
