Electrical Maintenance Specialist

Materion is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operating team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex electrical systems and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintaining the highest level of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
  • Work from circuit diagrams and SOPs, recommending alterations to Lead Electrician or other departmental personnel.
  • May be asked to assume duties of Lead Electrician when absent.
  • Recognize operational irregularities on equipment or processes, accurately determining the cause and taking corrective actions.
  • Assist Lead Electrician with providing training to other departmental personnel, apprentices, co-ops, or 2YD.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-year degree in electrical controls or electronics.
  • 2 years of Industrial Electrician experience.
  • At least 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance work or relevant military experience.
  • A completed approved 4-year apprentice program will also be considered.
  • Shift work is mandatory.

Export Compliance:
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology. The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee, a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
