About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our LTAC unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an LTAC setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity.
