Role OverviewThe Patient Service Representative collaborates with healthcare providers and clinical teams to address patients' administrative requirements. Key Responsibilities- Check patients in for their appointments
- Collect patient payments
- Answer phone calls and take accurate messages
- Schedule appointments and check patients out
- Coordinate referrals and verify insurance eligibility
- Utilize electronic medical record systems to update patient demographic information and manage payment postings
Successful candidates will possess strong listening and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting or two years in customer service
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred
