The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Hematology Clinician Leader to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families affected by cancer and blood disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric hematology, with a focus on sickle cell disease. They will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative clinical programs and services, and collaborate with researchers and clinicians to advance our understanding of these complex diseases.

The successful candidate will devote the majority of their effort to inpatient clinical responsibilities in the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, with some portion of their time devoted to outpatient responsibilities, including call and will be adjusted depending on service needs. The primary focus of this position will be an emphasis on clinical service and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the Aflac Hematology Clinic team.
  • Develop and implement new clinical programs and services, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to advance our understanding of pediatric hematology and oncology.

Requirements:

  • MD, MD/PhD, or DO degrees.
  • Must be Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
  • Must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Georgia.
  • A history of clinical excellence/achievement.
  • A strong history of leadership and management in a healthcare setting.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and is expected to be around $250,000-$300,000 per year. Emory University School of Medicine offers a competitive compensation package, including salary, benefits, and retirement plans.
