About the Role: As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional care to our residents in long-term care. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality services in a Christian environment.
">Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires knowledge of age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents, as outlined in their care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic healthcare needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and recording vital signs
- Assists residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment
- Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive experience for residents
- Assists with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as needed
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if necessary
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
Benefits: The Good Samaritan Society offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees. Salary Range: $18.50 - $25.50 per hour, estimated annual salary: $38,240 - $52,920, dependent on hours worked.
