Job Overview

GL Staffing Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team.

Compensation: $16 per hour.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday during the first shift, with occasional weekend shifts. Overtime may be necessary on alternate days and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inventory management tasks including cycle counts, material stocking, and disposal of outdated items.
  • Assist in overseeing material expiration, allocation, kitting, and ensuring compliance with material condition standards.
  • Transport materials from receiving or production zones to specified storage locations.
  • Examine incoming materials, categorize, position, and label them with appropriate identifiers.
  • Document quantities of materials received and distributed, ensuring timely logistics.
  • Maintain records of material handling activities in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill kitting and delivery assignments based on the shift schedule.
  • Support month-end inventory assessments and assist in ordering components as instructed.
  • Participate in cross-training and rotate responsibilities as required.
  • Keep the workspace and equipment in a tidy and organized state, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to team objectives as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English is essential.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and handle heavier items safely.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with the Warehouse Manager to resolve receiving and inventory challenges.

Employment Type: Full-time, Hourly Rate: $16.00
