We are in search of a skilled Senior Editor who combines creativity with strategic insight to spearhead and implement our multi-channel content initiatives. This role demands exceptional storytelling abilities, a discerning eye for products, and a refined sense of style. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the editorial direction across our email communications and website, determining the topics we address and the timing of our messaging. We seek an individual who is brimming with innovative ideas and enthusiastic about discovering unique ways to showcase fashion for the REVOLVE customer while highlighting the finest selections from our broader collection. This position reports directly to the Director of Editorial & Merchandising Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a dynamic content strategy that embodies our brand's identity and resonates with our target audience. Your editorial choices will establish the tone for our email campaigns and website content.
2. Oversee the planning and execution of editorial calendars, optimizing the timing and featured products. Ensure timely and relevant content delivery across all platforms.
3. Curate and select top products for editorial features, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and market trends. Collaborate with buying and owned brands teams to spotlight key pieces and collections.
4. Discover inventive and engaging methods to present fashion content that captivates our audience and drives interaction. Your creative ideas will be central to making fashion accessible and exciting for our customers.
5. Collaborate closely with the Director of Editorial & Merchandising Strategy to align editorial content with strategic objectives. Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure a unified brand message across all channels.
6. Monitor content performance and analyze engagement metrics. Utilize data insights to refine strategies and enhance the effectiveness of our content.
7. Manage and mentor the editorial team, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the production of high-quality content. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Proven experience as a Senior Editor or in a similar role, with a minimum of 7 years in fashion content strategy and execution across various channels.
2. Exceptional storytelling abilities paired with a strong fashion sensibility. Capability to create visually striking and engaging content that stands out.
3. Elevated taste level and innate sense of style—able to curate the finest products and assemble compelling outfits.
4. Awareness of trends emerging from social media platforms and the competitive landscape; attuned to cultural relevance.
5. A talent for discovering unique and creative ways to present fashion, with a commitment to staying ahead of trends and introducing fresh ideas.
6. Deep understanding of fashion visuals and trends. Experience in selecting and styling imagery that enhances editorial content.
7. Strong strategic and analytical capabilities. Demonstrated ability to drive content strategy and assess its impact on brand engagement and growth.
8. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
