Job Summary
The Area Cooperative Educational Services is seeking a qualified educator to join our team as an After School Teacher. This is a part-time position that will involve working with students from Chase and collaborating with teachers and students in Watertown and Hartford.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver educational activities and lessons that align with the goals of the Interdistrict Cooperative Grant.
- Foster collaboration and academic growth using place-based experiences.
- Work with students from diverse backgrounds and promote understanding across different communities.
- Develop and implement culturally responsive activities that meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers and students in Watertown and Hartford to enhance student learning.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Connecticut teaching certification or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience teaching in diverse educational settings.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to develop and implement culturally responsive activities, demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in education, experience in collaborative teaching and working with diverse student populations, flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the program.
Additional Requirements
- Availability during after-school hours on weekdays and occasional weekends.
