Job Title: Counselor for Workplace Wellness

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Chaplain to join our team at Marketplace Chaplains. As a Counselor for Workplace Wellness, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of employees and their families.

About the Role:

This is a field position, requiring frequent visits to company worksites, hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, and family residences. You will build relationships with employees, provide confidential pastoral discussions, and offer referral services. Your duties will include assisting with funerals, making jail visits, and providing post-termination care.

Schedule:

This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as your work schedule may vary depending on client needs. You will need to be available to visit worksites, hospitals, and other locations during regular business hours, with occasional evening or weekend appointments.

Requirements:

  • Education and Certification: A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, ministry, social work) or equivalent experience is required. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensure and Credentials: Current licensure as a chaplain, counselor, or social worker is desired. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, first aid) are also essential.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven ability to interact professionally with diplomacy and patience, excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Work Environment: This is a field position, and you will spend most of your time visiting clients at their workplaces, homes, or other locations. You must be comfortable working in various settings, including manufacturing facilities, offices, and hospitals.
