Key Responsibilities:
The ITOC Systems Administrator role is a hands-on technical position focused on managing and supporting systems across our multi-site environment.
The Systems Administrator is responsible for addressing support requests from end users, client support teams, and other business units to resolve, escalate, or determine necessary actions for resolution.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with a diverse array of technologies, operating systems, networking principles, and a commitment to continuous learning.
The primary duty of the ITOC Senior Administrator is to oversee the Major Incident Response process, including managing, coordinating, and communicating all Priority 1 incidents until they are fully resolved.
- Guide and mentor ITOC team members in analyst and administrative roles.
- Manage all escalations and communications with senior leadership.
- Conduct daily system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of all systems, review system and application logs, and confirm the completion of scheduled tasks.
- Administer and monitor corporate and managed services cloud-based systems.
- Develop, maintain, and utilize automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Assist with patch management in production environments.
- Create and maintain configuration documentation, system and operations documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Act as the primary point of contact for outages and escalations, assisting Incident Managers during emergencies.
- Monitor ticket tracking systems for newly assigned tasks.
- Oversee and report on all Spirit networks, systems, and applications in a 24x7 world-class operations center, working diligently to minimize customer impact and track SLA health.
- Handle routine operational requests such as adding new users and restarting services.
- Implement and adhere to all policies and procedures for monitoring, testing product availability, identifying problems, and managing incidents.
Qualifications:
Specialized Skills & Competencies:
- Prior experience with major incident management programs is advantageous.
- Familiarity with NOC tools, network management systems, escalation procedures, and other monitoring applications is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Windows administration and application resource utilization monitoring.
- Solid grasp of networking concepts and troubleshooting skills, including DNS, IP, and network hardware.
- Experience with Microsoft Infrastructure – Active Directory domains, DNS, DHCP, Windows Security, Group Policies, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and virtualization software, such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience managing and supporting virtualized environments in VMware.
- Basic understanding of load balancers, web session states, and troubleshooting related issues.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance our systems and processes.
- Experience supporting web application solutions, including PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.
- Willingness to support a 24x7x365 staffing model, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Proven decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Driven, high-energy self-starter; comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
