Senior Concrete Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Concrete Estimator to join our team at Turner Brothers, LLC. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for estimating the work of commercial concrete projects, including structural, post-tension, flatwork, and tilt-up projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial concrete industry. You will be responsible for gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to estimate project costs. Additionally, you will need to ensure cost-efficiency throughout the process, conduct on-site visits to understand client requirements, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate project costs based on proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Conduct on-site visits to understand client requirements and ensure cost-efficiency
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to obtain the best pricing
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project feasibility
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a construction estimator in the commercial concrete industry
- Strong knowledge of project management and construction estimating principles
- Hands-on experience with complex data research activities
- Deep understanding of technical and non-technical construction documents
- Experience with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Revit, or similar programs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in negotiation with experienced sales personnel
- BA in engineering, construction science, or a related field
