Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide Direct Therapy Services
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Monitor and Document Progress
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve goals.
- Collaborate with Professionals
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the implementation of speech and language goals in the classroom and at home.
- Participate in IEP Meetings
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services.
- Stay Current with Best Practices
Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
- Illinois State Board of Education Licensure
Illinois State Board of Education licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
- Experience Working with School-Aged Children
Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
