Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at TravelCenters of America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results to develop a repair plan and communicate it to the Service Advisor.
  • Repair malfunctioning parts and other mechanical or electrical equipment, ensuring safe and effective completion of repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and industry standards.
  • Recommend other TA services to customers during the inspection review process.
  • Ensure the safety of both customers and employees, maintaining a secure and healthy work environment.
Qualifications
  • A dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of our team.
  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent trade school or manufacturer's technical school certification.
  • Willingness to expand professional knowledge through education and training programs.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Meet the requirements for physical tasks with or without accommodation.
