McDaniel College is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student worker to join our team at the Leroy Merritt Fitness Center.
Job Summary:This is an excellent opportunity for a current McDaniel College student to gain valuable work experience while supporting the operations of our state-of-the-art fitness center.
Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to all fitness center guests.
- Ensure that all guests using the fitness center are checked-in before using equipment.
- Operate the ID card reader and enforce fitness center rules.
- Respond immediately to emergency issues and report any problems to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform hourly walk-throughs and clean and pick-up equipment and the facility during each work shift.
- Complete sign-in and sign-out checklists during opening and closing shifts.
- Turn off lights, equipment, and secure doors at closing.
- CPR/AED training is preferred or required within 30 days of becoming employed.
- Current student at McDaniel College with work study as part of Financial Aid package.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and work well with others.
- Must be reliable, prompt, and self-motivated.
- Prior experience with athletics, fitness, exercise equipment, and weight training is preferred.
