Maintenance Director Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the repair and maintenance of our community, equipment, and safety systems. As a key member of our team, you will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain common areas, offices, resident rooms, equipment, exterior, and grounds of the community.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for the community and equipment.
  • Train staff on emergency mitigation protocols and safety information.
  • Refurbish resident rooms between tenants.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including on-call, for resident safety.
  • Avoid loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Three years of related experience in electrical repairs, plumbing, or carpentry.
  • Experience with cost management and budgeting.
  • Ability to work safely and recognize/resolve potentially dangerous situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion and interest in working with the senior population.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
