Job Title: Agile Project Manager

The Agile Project Manager will independently manage projects of medium to large scale that are significant in scope, providing support to the program manager on projects within their program. This position will help ensure that projects remain on time/in scope to achieve specific business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as liaison between program manager and project managers to ensure work is managed in accordance with program standards
  • Help to define, develop, and manage overall project plans to ensure work is assigned and completed on time
  • Help to access and manage risk throughout the project lifecycle and work with project stakeholders, other project managers, and program manager to deliver risk mitigation plans
  • Apply project management tools and templates to successfully manage medium to large scale projects
  • Help to coordinate program timelines and deliverables during all phases of the projects to ensure projects are executed according to plans
  • Identify, engage, and partner with multi-disciplinary teams across the program to achieve desired project outcomes
  • Provide program status reporting as needed
  • May work on multiple efforts with cross-functional teams simultaneously, maintaining accountability of all project delivery work
  • Serve as an intermediary point between the project manager/team and broader program
  • Work with program manager to monitor progress to ensure that emerging solution meets the defined timeline/scope
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • Eight (8) years of project management experience
Preferences:
  • Master's degree
  • Eight (8) years of banking or financial services experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to create and deliver influential large-scale project communications (verbal and written) with clarity, confidence, and enthusiasm
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (PMBOK, SDLC, Agile, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and Atlassian Suite (Jira)
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of leadership development and engagement techniques in professional corporate settings
  • Ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously
  • Experience in large-scale, enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Experience in IT and Data related efforts
  • Experience in Digital related initiatives
  • Experience with Salesforce
Supplier Call Notes:

Working on R2 Program-Core Modernization Initiative. Responsible for development of customer journeys, implementation of omni service platform, enhancing analytics. Help drive execution-launching project plans, managing milestones. Serve as Execution partner w/ Workstream Lead. Multi-year program. Remote-prefer to be based in Birmingham, AL. Quarterly planning sessions-will need to be onsite once a quarter.
