About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced mechanic to join our team at Polynesian Adventure Tours in Hilo, Hawaii. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing all vehicle component systems for our fleet of motorcoaches and mini-coaches.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Use good judgment and sound decision-making while handling multiple situations
  • Be dependable and punctual to work as scheduled
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports and records
  • Understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions
  • Show initiative and complete tasks independently without supervision
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Vocational or technical school certification in the related work field is preferred
  • ASE, ICAR, or related certification preferred
  • At least two (2) years of experience working in a heavy-duty fleet shop, and or automotive shop that specializes in light and heavy vehicle repair or related duties
