About the Role:
Copper Springs is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Activity Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of "Changing People's Lives".
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote patient engagement and participation in group activities.
- Collaborate with nursing and program staff to achieve therapeutic interventions and contribute to treatment planning.
- Provide direction and guidance to nursing staff regarding activity-related groups and ensure seamless execution of therapy programs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide input on patient activity therapy goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Certification in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
- Licensure or certification per state of practice guidelines.
- CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with a preference for direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
