Role Responsibilities
Deliver care and services including medication administration, healthcare support, and assistance with daily living activities in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure adherence to location standards and procedures. Support residents in self-administering medications and may administer medications with appropriate training. Aid residents in maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting. Facilitate safe transfers, repositioning, and ambulation. Accurately obtain and report vital signs and changes in resident health status. Follow OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infection risks through proper cleaning techniques.
Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring compliance with dietary orders and regulations. Manage laundry tasks, including cleaning linens and personal clothing. Maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas. Engage in community activities and collaborate with volunteers.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Depending on the state, a High School Diploma or GED may be required.
If the facility utilizes lifts for resident mobility, candidates must meet the minimum state age requirement.
Completion and maintenance of a medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines are required prior to employment.
