We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Operations Manager to join our team at American Social. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our bar and beverage operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Source, hire, train, and direct a team of bartenders and barbacks to ensure excellent service and high-quality beverages.
- Drive Guest Satisfaction and Loyalty: Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and react promptly to any issues that may arise, ensuring every guest has a 5-star experience.
- Manage Beverage Costs and Inventory: Oversee beverage cost and run costs to goal or better, managing standards and holding team members accountable for results.
- Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Create and execute plans to achieve desired results, including managing controllable costs, producing accurate inventories, and communicating beverage cost to leadership.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with event coordinators, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to execute events, parties, and catering, and to promote the American Social brand.
- Ensure Compliance and Quality Standards: Maintain strict standards for safety and sanitation, as well as overall bar organization and storage, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience as a bar manager or in a similar role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Operational and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L analysis, inventory management, and cost control, with the ability to manage budgets and drive business results.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in back-office and POS systems, including Restaurant 365, Hot Schedules, and Micros.
- Education and Certifications: Hospitality degree or equivalent, ServSafe certification, and strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
