  • Demonstrate capability to prepare the folder by:
    • Adjusting gates and paper pathways
    • Configuring detectors
    • Ensuring proper paper infeed
    • Executing quick size changeovers
    • Setting up the folder for perforating or scoring tasks
    • Troubleshooting any discrepancies
  • Show ability to operate the folder at optimal production speeds by:
    • Loading and feeding paper efficiently
    • Running the folder at high speeds
    • Monitoring fold variations
    • Handling both light and heavy paper weights
  • Exhibit skills in quality inspection by assessing:
    • Trim accuracy
    • Printing attributes of covers and text
    • Minimizing excessive markings
    • Maintaining hold registers and quality standards
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED with relevant experience or vocational/technical certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Folder Operator, demonstrating a strong record of accuracy in folding operations and quality output.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to follow written instructions for machine setup and maintenance.
  • Possess mathematical skills for performing basic arithmetic operations.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality, with a focus on workstation responsibilities.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours or more daily.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Work environment may include fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise levels typically range from moderate to loud.
  • Fast-paced work setting subject to frequent schedule changes and priority adjustments.
