About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions for multiple platforms within Citizens. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data pipelines, ensuring that data is accurate, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data integration solutions using advanced analytics and big data techniques
  • Develop robust data pipelines to collect, process, and compute metrics from various financial sources
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions that meet data demands
  • Deploy high-performing, quality/bug-free code in production
  • Execute unit tests of data populated in target data containers, validating expected results and ensuring quality and accuracy

Requirements
  • Recently completed a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or other technology-related degree
  • Graduation date of Spring 2025
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Experience working with raw as well as prepared datasets
  • Understanding of master data management principles and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous professional exposure to software development and/or engineering
  • Familiarity with ETL, ELT, Star Schema, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Beam, Flink, and/or message brokers/messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka
  • Understanding of the banking industry, specifically the functions of custodial and consumer banking
