Biological Sciences Professor

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Microbiology Faculty member to join our team at the Florida Technical College Nursing Program.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging and informative courses in microbiology, encompassing both online and on-campus components with a laboratory setting. This position requires the ability to effectively teach complex concepts related to microorganisms, their impact on human health and the environment, and relevant laboratory techniques.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with a dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

• Course Development and Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction in assigned nursing courses, ensuring alignment with program curriculum, learning outcomes, and best practices.
• Teaching Methodologies: Utilize diverse teaching methodologies including lectures, case studies, simulations, group discussions, and other innovative techniques.
• Clinical Learning Experiences: Facilitate clinical learning experiences, providing ongoing mentorship and guidance to students in developing essential clinical skills and judgment.
• Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course content based on current evidence, student feedback, and program goals.

• Education: Master's degree completed in Microbiology, Immunology, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Minimum two years of experience teaching microbiology at the college level, including laboratory instruction.
• Location: On-site position.

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
