Data Analyst for Athletics

The University of Hawaii System seeks a skilled Data Analyst to join its team in the Athletics department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, be proficient in using NCAA Live Stats by Genius, Statcrew, and other statistics software programs, and have a strong understanding of collegiate sports rules, protocols, game operations, and statistics.

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for staffing, managing, and supervising the game day scorekeeping table crew. You will work closely with the sports information director to recruit, evaluate, and establish game day scorekeeper tables for soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, and baseball. You will also create and maintain game day protocols, uphold and review NCAA Division II sports statistics and practices, and record and input in-game statistics using NCAA Live Stats by Genius, Statcrew, and other various methods.

The successful candidate will have a baccalaureate degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience that provides the required education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. They will also have at least 5 years of progressive experience in a 4-year collegiate sports information office and be proficient in using NCAA Live Stats by Genius, Statcrew, and other statistics software programs. A flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the sports information director and other team members to ensure the accurate and timely collection and reporting of game statistics. You will also train game day scorekeeper table personnel on in-game statistics and protocols and communicate with conference offices and other institutions' sports information offices.

This position offers an estimated annual salary of $90,000 based on the location and industry standards.
